A slow drain is an early warning. A blocked one is the same problem after it has been ignored for a while. Either way the useful question is not just how to clear it, but why it blocked, because a drain that keeps backing up is usually telling you something about the line rather than about what went down it last week.

We clear the blockage, and then we tell you whether it was a one-off or whether something further down needs attention.

What We Clear

Kitchen sinks

Grease and food waste build up on the pipe wall until the opening closes down to nothing.

Bathroom and shower drains

Hair and soap, usually close to the fixture and usually straightforward.

Toilets

Blockages at the trap or further along the branch line.

Main line backups

More than one fixture backing up at once points at the main, not the fixture.

Outside and yard drains

Debris and root intrusion in the lines that carry water away from the house.

Recurring blockages

A drain that blocks repeatedly has an underlying cause worth finding.

The real question

Why Does It Keep Blocking?

If one fixture drains slowly, the cause is usually close by and clearing it solves the problem.

If several fixtures back up together, or the lowest drain in the house floods when you run water elsewhere, the blockage is in the main line. That is a different job, and root intrusion or a damaged section of pipe is a common cause in older properties.

When we find that, we will tell you rather than clearing it and letting you call us again in three months.

Drain Cleaning Questions

Should I use a chemical drain cleaner first?
We would rather you did not. They often fail on a real blockage, they can damage older pipe, and they leave a caustic mix sitting in the line that then has to be dealt with safely.

One drain is slow. Is that urgent?
Not usually urgent, but worth dealing with. A single slow fixture is normally a local blockage and easy to clear.

Several drains are backing up at once. What does that mean?
That points at the main line rather than any single fixture, and it is worth calling sooner rather than later. Main line backups tend to get worse quickly.

Can tree roots really get into the pipe?
Yes, and they are a common cause of repeat blockages in older lines. Roots find joints and small cracks, then grow toward the water.

Will clearing it fix it permanently?
If the cause was what went down the drain, yes. If the cause is root intrusion or a damaged pipe, clearing it is temporary and we will tell you what is actually needed.

Do you charge for an estimate?
No. We give free estimates on all jobs.

Do you warranty your work?
Yes. Every job we do carries at least a one year warranty on our labor. Water heaters carry two years. Fixtures and parts carry their own manufacturer’s warranty.

Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer financing through Affirm. The invoice we send you carries an option to pay over time instead of all at once, and Affirm sets the terms. Useful when a repair or a replacement arrives unplanned, which is usually how they arrive.

Can you actually see what is going on in the line?
Yes. We run a video inspection camera down the line and locate the trouble spot from the surface, so instead of guessing we can show you whether it is root intrusion, a collapsed section, or simply what went down the drain. That matters, because clearing a blockage caused by roots or a broken pipe only buys you time.
